Poodle owners in NYC probably don't have this problem!
Poodles can be groomed in a variety of ways. Taylor (Beauvoir's Glass Key) shows how sleek and elegant a poodle can look in a close trim.
Delilah and siblings peeking out of the whelping box at 5 weeks.
Great shot of Taylor stretched out in full sprint. You can see that this trim really shows off his athletic build. No one ever said that a poodle has to be "poofy"! Taylor is out of our Sabrina/Maverick litter. You may have not guessed it from his last glamor shot, but Taylor's a farm dog. He lives with his family outside of Atlanta on a lovely hobby farm where he keeps company with some swanky dressage horses and a herd of rare breed sheep. Talk about living the life of Riley...
This is what living in Colorado is all about... getting to hike in the mountains with your Standard Poodles! Here are Sabrina and Izze on Mt. Margaret trail (July 2008).
Elvis with his 1st bird. In his article in Gundog Magazine, James Spencer describes the Standard Poodle as: an all-rounder, both a waterfowl retriever and an upland bird flusher/retriever.

Puppies are wonderful, but parents of young children should not take the decision to get a puppy lightly. Puppies require lots of time and training. Puppies and children must be supervised by an adult whenever they are together. It is a lot of work! For many families, getting an adult rescue Poodle is a better option.
